Windows 10 – Our Thoughts

We here at Gizmo Graphics and Technology have been  using windows 10 for quite some time now, and are impressed with  the ease of  use and quicker access to many  key  functions that we all  know and love from  previous versions of  windows. that  being said there are  pros and cons with  every new OS.

Here are some things we like

  • The redesigned  start menu
  • The app store  is  much  better than  the windows 8 version
  • The edge browser (took some getting  used  to)
  • The ability to group your  apps  on the start menu and name them
  • The  Xbox app (we  like to  game)
  • The ability  to  search for things  from the start menu and the  web in  one spot
  • The unified settings menu is pretty good
  • Improved Windows Defender
  • The Windows Insider Builds
  • Almost Never seeing the BSOD (blue screen of Death)
  • Tablet Mode

Here are some of the things we don’t like, or feel that needs improvement

  • The Windows Update  cycle needs  work
  • Cortana needs Improvement Apple Siri and Google offer  better assistants

Overall the Windows 10 OS is quite robust and  with constant feature changes and new features We believe Windows 10 to be  one of the better operating  systems in recent years especially after Windows Vista was such a letdown.
We are anxious to see what else Microsoft brings to windows 10.
